Craig Erford, the former boys volleyball head coach at St. Xavier High School (Alter) in Ohio, is selected for the inaugural Ohio Boys Scholastic Volleyball Coaches Association (OBSVCA) Hall of Fame class. He is one of two members named to the first class. Erford coaches Alter’s boys volleyball program for 12 seasons, from 2010 through 2021. During his tenure, the Knights win six state championships across nine state tournament appearances. The team also captures the Greater Catholic League Co-ed championship eight times. Across those seasons, Erford’s teams compile an overall record of 217-67. The announcement places Erford among the first honorees recognized by the OBSVCA, which is intended to honor long-term achievements and contributions to boys scholastic volleyball in Ohio.
