Local train services in Mumbai are disrupted due to a “mega block” affecting routes on both the Western and Central lines, according to NDTV. Services leaving from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) toward destinations including Vashi, Belapur, and Panvel are suspended, as are trains bound for Bandra and Goregaon during the blocked period. NDTV also reports that services heading back toward CSMT from these destinations remain affected. The disruption is scheduled across much of the midday and afternoon window on Sunday, meaning multiple train runs during this period do not operate as per the regular timetable. The affected stretch covers trains operating between CSMT and the named suburban locations on these corridors. Passengers travelling on the Western and Central lines on Sunday are advised that services are likely to be interrupted for extended hours and to plan alternate routes accordingly.
