Korea holds “K-Expo France 2026” in Paris this week, presenting Korean cultural and technology-linked products and services while marking the 140th anniversary of diplomatic ties with France. The four-day event takes place at the Palais des Congrès, running from June 16 to June 19, and is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism along with related ministries covering agriculture, oceans and health. The program combines business-focused export consultations with public exhibitions showcasing entertainment, food, beauty, fashion and tourism. Korean companies and institutions present consumer products and also highlight artificial intelligence and immersive content technologies. The Korea Tourism Organization features promotional installations aimed at encouraging travel to Korea, including replicas of Korean subway stations and mountain hiking trails, as well as a simulated airplane cabin. Global streaming service Netflix jointly operates a pavilion with participating brands and institutions tied to intellectual property used in Korean originals, including “Squid Game” and “Culinary Class Wars.” Officials say the K-Expo format links cultural content with connected industries such as cosmetics and food to support overseas expansion of Korean firms.
