INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church leader Primate Elijah Ayodele says the 2027 presidential election outcome will place the presidency “in Atiku’s hands,” referring to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, he also adds that “circumstances” could prevent Atiku from securing the presidency if he continues what he calls “gentlemanly politics.”
Ayodele claims that President Bola Tinubu is a “desperate” politician, and he contrasts Tinubu’s political approach with what he characterizes as other figures’ level of desperation, including Peter Obi. The cleric further states that northerners are not ready to vote for Tinubu and that the APC will undertake reconciliation efforts to persuade northern voters. He says northern voters are instead coming together to vote for Atiku.
