Karnataka police arrest nine people, including the victim’s wife and her alleged lover, in connection with the alleged murder of Sandeep Manjarg, according to reports. The accused are alleged to have conspired to kill Manjarg and then manipulate evidence to make the death appear natural. Authorities say the couple and other accomplices first staged events around the time of his hospitalisation, with accounts indicating an attempt to portray the death as resulting from an accident followed by a “heart attack.” The investigation also alleges that the group acted for a reported consideration of Rs 2 crore. Police officials state that staff members at the hospital are among those arrested, and that their alleged involvement helped support the plan to alter or manage evidence. The police allege that the accused planned the killing and coordinated actions before and after the incident, leading to the victim’s death while he was in hospital. Further details of the case are under investigation as authorities proceed with legal action against the arrested individuals.
