Ahead of the June 21 NEET-UG re-examination, multiple reports describe a Nagpur-based candidate receiving an admit card that lists an examination centre in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, instead of a location in India. The issue drew attention and caused concern for the candidate and family, particularly because the candidate reportedly does not have a passport and there is limited time to arrange travel.

NTA acknowledges the problem and says it is investigating the allotment issue. According to NTA’s web-activity records referenced in reporting, the city was changed to Abu Dhabi through the candidate’s own registered login during the open correction window. The Hindu and NDTV also report that NTA moved to correct the matter, stating the city-change issue is resolved and that a revised admit card will be issued after verification and rectification.

Some accounts attribute the incident to a “technical glitch,” while others focus on the correction-window mechanism through which the change was reportedly made. NTA also continues with preparations for the re-test, while the specific candidate’s centre allotment is being addressed.
