Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukrainian drones struck an oil refinery in Russia’s Tyumen Region in western Siberia, more than 2,000 km from Ukraine. In his nightly video address, he thanks Ukrainian forces for special operations that reached the Tyumen area, including an oil refining facility. Multiple reports describe unverified online videos showing smoke and flames at the site, which is referred to as the Antipinsky refinery, while the Tyumen governor says emergency services respond to what he called debris from a drone strike.
Zelenskyy also says Ukraine has developed new long-range drones capable of operating over more than 3,000 km and that the drones were successfully deployed. The reporting emphasizes that the claims are presented by Ukraine and that on-the-ground details remain linked to Russian statements and unverified footage.
Separate from the Tyumen incident, other reports also describe attacks in occupied Crimea and across parts of Ukraine, including strikes involving drones and glide bombs. Those additional incidents are reported alongside the Tyumen refinery claim but are not presented as connected to it.
