Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy asks Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to develop the proposed airport at Adilabad and expand it with additional aviation amenities. According to the reports, Reddy requests support for building passenger-related infrastructure, including a passenger terminal, as well as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and other facilities that can support aircraft operations. He also seeks the large-scale establishment of cargo services, along with hangars, to complement facilities planned for the Indian Air Force terminal and a civil aviation terminal designed for passenger convenience.

Reddy assures the Union Defence Minister that the Telangana government will extend full cooperation for the project, which is described as a joint-use arrangement involving defence and civil aviation requirements. The requests are framed as efforts to ensure that the airport development meets both passenger needs and broader operational capabilities, including cargo and aircraft maintenance support. The communications discussed relate to planning and support for infrastructure development at the Adilabad airport site under the proposed joint-use model.
