The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will honor several prominent figures at its upcoming 60th anniversary edition, with the awards scheduled across the festival’s opening and closing ceremonies. Actors Dustin Hoffman and Juliette Binoche are each set to receive a Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema. Jeffrey Wright will also be recognized at the festival, with reports describing his honor as the festival’s President’s Award. In addition to the acting honors, legendary cinematographer Robert Richardson is slated to receive the Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema as well.
Multiple outlets report that Hoffman’s Crystal Globe is presented at the opening ceremony, while Binoche’s award is scheduled for the closing ceremony. The festival’s announcement also includes other participating attendees, including Harvey Keitel, Jesse Eisenberg, and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
