Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho, issues a warning to Yorubas alleged to be collaborating with kidnapping groups operating in Nigeria’s Southwest. In statements delivered at the palace of the Chief of Igboho in Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State, Igboho says some Yoruba indigenes are working with criminal groups—describing them as linked to Fulani—to abduct residents. He vows to kill any Yoruba person he says is supporting or “conniving” with these groups to carry out kidnappings, characterizing the punishment as death.

The reports also note that Igboho, over the weekend, gives the Fulani community in his hometown a two-hour ultimatum to release a kidnapped pregnant woman and her sibling. Both sources describe the warning as part of his broader public threats and demands related to kidnapping cases in the region.
