Asus has announced the ROG Strix XG129C, a compact secondary touchscreen monitor designed to sit alongside a larger primary display for gaming and system monitoring. The monitor uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen IPS panel and is intended as a “sidekick” for a main monitor, taking cues from earlier Asus dual-display gaming devices. Asus positions the XG129C as a smaller alternative to other secondary screens used in similar setups, including a 14.1-inch secondary display from the 2020 ROG Zephyrus Duo 15.
According to the available details, the display is rated to cover 125% of the sRGB color space. Asus also includes software intended for real-time hardware monitoring: the package bundles AIDA64 Extreme for one year. The monitor’s touchscreen design allows users to interact directly with the secondary screen while keeping gameplay on the main display.
