The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has demanded that an FIR be registered against filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his production house, Bhansali Productions, following the death of a worker during the shooting of ‘Love and War’ in Mumbai. Multiple outlets report that AICWA is pressing for a police case and a high-level investigation into alleged safety lapses and unsafe working conditions on set. AICWA also asks that filming be suspended until safety compliance is verified, and it calls for a complete safety audit of the production environment. The association’s compensation demand is ₹1 crore for the deceased worker’s family.

A report further specifies that the deceased worker is Chandradhari Singh Yadav, a 42-year-old carpenter, who reportedly died after suffering a severe electric shock during the early hours of June 17. Another account adds that AICWA claims some other workers at the location were also injured, though details and verified information about the circumstances and injuries have not been clearly established. One outlet also notes that AICWA has cited past incidents associated with Bhansali productions, though those are presented as background claims. As of the reports, Bhansali Productions has not issued an official statement.
