Three Indian nationals are injured after a fire breaks out at the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone in the UAE following a drone strike originating from Iran, multiple Indian outlets report. The incident occurs in Fujairah, where local authorities and Civil Defence teams respond to control the fire, according to reports citing state and local media. The injured are taken to hospital, and the Indian Embassy in the UAE says it is in contact with local authorities to ensure medical care and welfare.
UAE defence officials also report missile activity around the same period. The UAE Ministry of Defence states that Iran launched four missiles toward various areas, with three reportedly engaged over territorial waters and one falling into the sea. Some reports additionally mention missile alerts received by residents in Abu Dhabi.
India condemns the attack and expresses concern over safety and protection of critical infrastructure and civilians. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reported to say the incident is unacceptable and to stress the need for safe and secure navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
