Pune Rural Police continue investigating the death of businessman Ketan Agrawal, who died after falling from Lohagad Fort on June 18. Multiple reports say police have taken accused Chetan Chaudhary to the fort for a fresh crime-scene reconstruction and for forensic gait analysis intended to verify whether he was present there at the relevant time, based on CCTV footage. Investigators also plan further reconstruction steps, including possible recovery of Chaudhary’s alleged clothing. Police have reportedly seized items linked to the probe, including Chaudhary’s two-wheeler (and items such as a hoodie and headphones). The investigation has expanded from an earlier accidental-fall theory to a murder case.
Sources also describe allegations of coordination between Chaudhary and co-accused Siya Goyal, including claims that Goyal signaled Chaudhary before Agrawal was pushed. Police state the case involves an alleged pre-arranged plan, including scouting and rehearsal, and that Chaudhary travelled to the fort on a scooter, reportedly to avoid toll detection. In parallel, police question a classmate/friend of Chaudhary, whom they say was aware of the alleged plot and had advised against it. A fast-track trial has been approved, and both accused are reported to be in police custody until July 3.
