India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman begins a four-day official visit to France aimed at deepening economic and strategic cooperation. Multiple reports say a central event will be the India-France Economic and Financial Dialogue (EFD) in Aix-en-Provence, which Sitharaman is scheduled to co-chair with France’s Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Energy Sovereignty, Roland Lescure. The dialogue is expected to explore new avenues for bilateral cooperation and further strengthen financial and economic links.

Sitharaman is also reported to hold meetings with business leaders and conduct discussions focused on investment opportunities and economic growth. Coverage across outlets notes she will engage with CEOs and participate in a forum during the visit, as well as take part in panels related to economic themes.

Beyond finance and investment, reports say the visit includes cooperation in technology and innovation, including areas such as science and cybersecurity. Sitharaman is expected to visit sites linked to international scientific collaboration and France’s cybersecurity innovation ecosystem, and she will meet officials from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. On the final day, she plans to interact with members of the Indian diaspora in France.
