Nothing has confirmed that the Phone (1) has reached the end of its software support lifecycle and will no longer receive further updates. The company says the device’s final release is rolling out now, with availability expected to extend to all users over the following days. The Phone (1) originally launched in July 2022 with Android 12.
The final update includes the July 2026 Android security patch. In addition to the security update, Nothing describes the release as bringing general bug fixes, performance improvements, and enhanced system stability. After this final update is fully deployed, the phone will not receive subsequent software updates from Nothing.
Reports emphasize that the company is formally closing support for its first smartphone model, marking the end of the planned update period while ensuring remaining users receive one last security and maintenance package.
