Police operatives in Ondo State kill two suspected kidnappers during a gun battle along the Akure–Owo Expressway. Multiple reports say the incident occurs in the Akure North Local Government Area, at or near a block industry in Ilu Abo. The suspects, described as masked gunmen and numbering about seven, reportedly invade the block industry in the early hours of Wednesday or Thursday when officers respond, including the Federal Highway Patrol Unit.
