Police in Gurugram report a gun battle in which four alleged gang members linked to gangster Deepak Nandal are killed and one is left in critical condition. According to the reports, the confrontation follows an incident in which the suspects allegedly targeted a businessman’s residence and issued extortion demands. Police say they moved in to surround the accused, who then open fire during an attempted escape. The exchange involves heavy gunfire, with sources reporting about 60 rounds fired. Three police personnel are injured with bullet wounds during the encounter. The five alleged shooters are taken to a private super-specialty hospital for treatment; doctors subsequently declare four of them dead, while one remains in critical condition. Investigators report recovering multiple pistols from the encounter site, including foreign-made weapons. Police characterize the action as self-defence during the firefight.
