Apple is closing its Apple Festival Place store in Basingstoke, UK, and reopening a different location in Reading. Sources report the Basingstoke store is scheduled to close in November 2026 after 15 years, while the Apple store at Oracle Shopping Centre in Reading is set to reopen in December with a completely new design.

Both outlets frame the move as part of Apple’s ongoing retail expansion and reshaping plan in the UK, which includes opening new stores, moving or expanding existing ones, and closing others. Apple’s statement to outlets says it will continue serving customers in the region through nearby Apple Stores, as well as through Apple.com, the Apple Store app, and Apple Authorised Resellers and Service Providers across South East England. One report adds that the change leaves Apple with a specific number of retail stores in the UK following the closure.
