The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released an online list of 52,690 students admitted to postgraduate medical education broad specialty courses for the 2025-26 academic session. The list covers MD, MS and Diploma programmes and is issued through the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB), allowing students to check whether their names and admission details are reflected.

The NMC says the list is based on details uploaded by medical colleges following directions tied to the common counselling process for postgraduate admissions under the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023. The commission notes that despite multiple circulars and public notices, some medical colleges did not upload information or submitted incomplete data.

Across reports, both outlets describe the same action and figure and say students are advised to verify their entries using the NMC portal. Those whose names are missing are instructed to contact their college and the relevant counselling or Directorate of Medical Education authorities to resolve the discrepancy, rather than wait for the list to be corrected automatically.
