Tim Cook will attend the screening for Apple's "Surprise and Shine" event this Wednesday, but he will not feature in the event video itself, according to Bloomberg Mark Gurman's sources. Cook stepped down as Apple CEO on September 1 to become executive chairman of the company, paving the way for John Ternus to take over the top job. In his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman said that Apple has "carefully orchestrated this transition to make Ternus the face of the foldable iPhone and all the new products to come. John Ternus took over as Apple's new CEO on September 1. Now, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, in his latest weekly Power On newsletter, said that Tim Cook will not take part in the iPhone event video. Cook is expected to attend Apple's event screening on September 9 from the VIP section. Cook will get a new office at Apple's campus. The report claims that Cook will receive a base salary of $2 million (roughly Rs. 18 crore) and stock units of $45 million (roughly Rs. 4.25 billion) next year.
