Several members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Benue State are injured after a bus carrying them to an APC rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, is involved in a head-on collision. The crash reportedly happens in Lafia, a few kilometres from the rally venue, as the delegates travel to the event. Victims are evacuated to hospitals in Lafia for medical attention.

Reporting differs on details. Nigerian Eye says the publicity secretary for the Austin Agada faction of the Benue APC, Dan-Morgan Ihomun, confirms the incident and adds that no lives are lost, though the number of injured delegates is not immediately confirmed. Vanguard also reports serious injuries and the same general location and circumstances, without confirming a death toll. Daily Post Nigeria reports that many supporters are injured and adds that the supporters are loyal to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume.

The accident follows a similar incident earlier in 2026 in which three delegates from Ogbadibo Local Government Area died and about 10 others were injured while travelling from Makurdi to Lafia for an APC North-Central zonal congress.
