China Mobile completes an expansion of its main intelligent computing centre in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, tripling the facility’s processing capacity. Reporting on the project says the upgrades bring total capacity to 20,100 petaflops. The expansion is described as part of China’s broader push to strengthen digital infrastructure that can support artificial intelligence workloads.

Outlets also specify additional technical details. One report says the project is finished, citing local coverage, while another adds that the upgrade involves an increase of about 120 MW of IT power. The expanded centre is expected to provide 20,100 PFLOPS overall, with a large share allocated to AI processing. It also notes that most capacity is intended for use by the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, aligning the site’s output with demand from China’s major economic and government hubs.
