Google removes an Iranian matchmaking app after it is found to allow girls as young as 13 to create profiles for marriage, according to reporting cited by multiple outlets. The Jerusalem Post says it located advertisements featuring young girls and that some profiles displayed a green notice indicating parental approval.
Iran International reports that an investigation led to the removal of the app and associated promotional accounts by Meta and Google. It cites a US-based rights group, HRANA, which says the app—described as “Adam and Eve”—listed girls as young as 13 as potential spouses. Both outlets frame the action as a response to concerns about child marriage and access to platforms intended for matchmaking.
