Apple announces its “Apple Home Collection” at its “Welcome Home” event, a new lineup of connected home accessories that includes video cameras, a video doorbell, a smart door lock, and thermostats. The products are designed to work with Apple’s new HomeView smart home hub and integrate with the Home app and Siri for control.
Multiple outlets report the collection is developed in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, with Apple emphasizing streamlined setup—such as using a single iPhone tap—and an “easy to use” experience for managing devices across supported Apple platforms. Several LG camera models offer features such as low-light performance, motion-triggered lighting (for the floodlight camera), and camera privacy options that change camera angle based on whether people are home.
Other reported details include that the smart deadbolt uses UWB for proximity-based unlocking and can be controlled via PIN or a backup key slot. Cameras and certain features are linked to Apple services such as iCloud+, while thermostats support “Adaptive Temperature” in the U.S. Outlets note availability starting in December, with some accessories not launching until early 2027.
